i posted this once before, but i dont think anyone read it... i wrote to a very well known news anchor in my town that has gotten Migraine headaches since he was 17yrs old /he said he has tried all the drugs and they just made him sick / he also told me Quote Un Quote (((I KEEP 2 ALEVE IN MY POCKET AT ALL TIMES & WHEN I GET THE 1ST SIGN OF AN AURA, I TAKE THE ALEVE WITH A CUP OF BLACK COFFEE - WORKS FOR ME EVERY TIME! THE KEY FOR ME IS TO TAKE THEM IMMEDIATELY WHEN THE 1ST SIGN OF AN AURA APPEARS-IF I DO, I JUST HAVE A VERY MILD HEADACHE IF ANY AFTER THE AURA CLEARS UP))) he says His Dr says its as good as anything :) has anyone else ever used Aleve with a Cup of Coffee like this??? i have been on So Many drugs these past few years and i am also finding out that OTC drugs work better for me than the Rx type... any opinions for me??? i would truly appreciate any good information... It is well known that caffeine is used to help headaches, which is why many over the counter pain remedies include caffeine in them. ****** caffeine and headache and you will find plenty of info. Hope this helps! :)
today i tried it myself for the 1st time and it worked!!! i have NEVER gotten such quick relief from a Migraine EVER!!! and i have tried Imitrex and Every Other Triptan there is...! at 10am this morning i started with my Usual AWFUL Aura... i took 2 ALEVE Caplets with a Half Cup of Black Coffee and by 11am my Aura was over and i only had a Slight MILD Headache, but No Migraine!!! i dont know if it was a Miracle or What but i am going to try it again next time it happens! OMG! i feel great!!! and its now going on 3pm!!! just came from Shopping at Walmart!!! and i got myself a Bigger Bottle :) i hope this works for other people as well as it did for me! Good Luck To You If You Try!!!
sounds logical. i had to take naproxen for another condition and i noticed that it really helped with headaches at times. aleve is the same thing only not as strong. and yes, caffeine does help but in moderation. for some people too much caffeine can be a trigger for a migraine. i have tried a lot of different Rx medicines and have found that the dissolving maxalt 10mg work the best for me.
