Thanks Sam, but actually I use a program called Dragon Naturally Speaking. Because I was a student for the past year, the school introduced me to it, its very popular voice recognition softwear. However, I hadnt told you that, and you are very sweet to think of me and send that advice. Thank you...
Do you like the voice recognition? I actually dont. I have "trained" it very well, however I dont like Speaking my thoughts..I do so much better when I just type out my words. (You can tell when Im using it and when im not by my typos). But, when I was writing 30+ page papers in college, it certainly came in handy!!
Anyway, thank you for thinking of me..I hope you have a healthy day!

I don't uae any special softwere but I had thought about it I never know what will work when I wake up and what wont but when I woke up and my hands were numb I thought about you first thing. Hands not working is very new to me it made me feel for you big time. that one is the most agreovating that I have had (yet).I guess we will keep relying on ourselfs for now. My wife goes through the same thing but the Drs. don't know why yet still testing going on 3 years now ( not MS ) hers is diffrent

all these diseases are DIFFERENT, and yet the same in so many ways, huh?
I do know, without your hands, or even with only partial use of one hand, life changes....for some it comes and goes..I hope that for you..
Having a very long day today. I actually worked for 8 hours and all it was was damage control. Im exhuasted. Going to call it an early night....hope you have a feel good day and night!

I am so glad I cam across this post! I am not diagnosed and still dealing with the awful process of going from doc to doc. In the meantime, I can't work but i do have to make money, so a friend got me a job doing transcription work from home. But often the fatigue and muscle weakness comes over me so quickly and out of the blue that i have trouble finishing a job, or I get numb in just a few fingers and have trouble hitting certain keys. You name it, I've experienced it. I wonder if any of these programs would help me.

Hi Desperate. There is a program, specifically for doctors and includes ICD-9 codes, etc. Unfotunately I cant give you the link- rules forbid it. But, its made by Dragon Naturally. Please research that, and you should find what I am talking about. I believe it is the professional version. If you dont need something that elaborate, I use the standard edition, and it managed to get me thru grad school!
Good luck.
Nikki
