I would appreciate any advice on how to control hot flushes naturally, with certain foods, exercise, etc. Anyone have any good hints thanks.

Hi Disi,
You'll get pros and cons but in moderation soy really can help. I was under a clinical herbalsit and nutritionalist and she said in moderate doses she was happy with me using it. I have soy milk on my cereal every morning, and i also take evening primrose oil. For me this helped. In fact it is about one of the only symptoms I didn't suffer badly from. I would feel funny then feel all cold so must've been hot in order to feel cold - but perfectly manageable. Good luck.

Apparently, certain triggers can effect frequency and intensity of flashes and sweats; chocolate, coffee, red wine and others. It doesn't require large quantities, I drank one or two cups of coffee a day and now drink one cup of, half coffee and half decaf and it has made a difference. I have found red clover works well for me. It takes 3 or 4 weeks before you see the effects and you have to take it every day.

Interesting about the triggers.
I did give up coffee and tea and chocolate altogether. Have the occasional white chocolate but that's all. So try that as well. Good luck.
