I have now quit smoking for10 months and one week. I can't believe I'm almost at the one year mark. I cannot say that I don't think about cigarettes because occasionally I still do. But I've come too far to turn around now. I will never go through that awful withdrawl period again. Overall, I'm really quite proud of myself. This is the hardest thing I have ever done.
CONGRATS TO ME!!!!!!!!::blob_fire :blob_fire :blob_fire :blob_fire :blob_fire :blob_fire :blob_fire :blob_fire :blob_fire :blob_fire

That's my girl Patcher I'm so glad you stuck it out. We can cyber celebrate our 1 yr together!!! I keep telling myself not to get too cocky as I tend to want to treat myself to one at the one yr mark in the past but I know better now. Day 2 on the diet back to sizr 6 for me today so far so good, only 40lbs to go.

I'm so proud of you Patcher you're a helluva strong gal. Cheers

Liamsmom,
This year treat yourself to some chocolate!! Leave those nasty ole cigarettes alone!!
Oh how I wished I could get back on my diet and lose the 50+ pounds I need to get off! It looks like if I could quit smoking, I could lose weight!! But my willpower is very low. I had help to quit smoking. I wished there was help for me to lose the weight!!
Good Luck to you!!

WAY TO GO PATCHER! That's awesome - 10 months is a long time. And that's great you did it cold turkey!!

It's wonderful to be part of the rest of the world again, isn't it?

Thanks Meemaw but chocolate is how I got into to the chubby condition I find myself these days. When I first quit I used candies to suck on than I graduated to chocolate to help the emotional side who knew I needed so much help!!!!! :eek: I lost 67 lbs sucessfully on a diet plan that you see on tv (don't wanna get in trouble for mentioning it and be banned by the board police) I just did it in the wrong way I should've quit first than diet today is day 3 and so far so good but it's basically measuring out food portions and having five smaller meals a day instead of three big ones. Instead of chocolate I've been muching carrot stix and fruit. You can do it too. I WILL BE AT LEAST 25-35 LBS LIGHTER BY AUGUST.

Cheers have a grand smoke free day.
