Ok hi I am new to this group and thought maybe I could get some feedback on something that is bothering me. A couple of weeks ago I started getting weak on the right side of my body. Went to the doc who told me to go see my neuro. Went to him today and he said that my brain MRI was fine (they thought at first it was MS so i went monday for an MRI) and that given I had a childhood history of migraines perscribed me prednisone (hope thats spelled right..lol) and told me the weakness and pain will get better and that it was caused by migraines and the meds will help. But it says clearly on the box that it can CAUSE weakness and headaches so a little bothered by this. Has anyone else been treated for migraines or headaches with prednisone and did it help? Just needing some feedback please.

Thanks

Hello MYAUSTICTICANGEL  I did take Prednisone "once" when i had a Super Duper BAD Migraine that lasted for a whole entire week - my Neuro gave it to me to help give me a Kick Start back as he put it! i took it for 5 days and I LOVED IT! it made me feel better by the next day! i asked him if i could take this Regularly and he said NO! because it is a Steroid he would not allow me too... he said only if that happened again... i have a Son with LUPUS and he takes Prednisone regularly every day for his lupus and has been for 5 years now... the only bad thing he says about it is that it will keep you Awake if you take it too late in the day... other than that Its Safe! Good Luck To You!
