ive been on the pill for 4 months now... had no problems up untill now its all been fine. but this week i missed a pill, it was almost 24 hours before i realsie, i took them issed pill and carried on as normal. but ive been bleeding lightly ever since. is this normal? im getting worried now

Yes, this was normal. Your body is getting used to the fact that when you have those hormones (the pills) you should be off your period. But that as soon as you stop taking the hormone pills and take those 7 days of sugar pills (no hormones) your period should start. So your body is just responding to the fact that you didn't have hormones in your body for a day. Clearly, you weren't ready for a period yet, so you had light spotting. It will probably continue until your period, then when you start a new pack, it will be back to normal.

If you have more concerns, you can always call your dr. and ask to talk to a nurse for a minute. They can answer your question.
