i haven't been on birth control in years, but have decided to start up again...
i remember having issues on lo ovral (something like such?) and definitely ortho-tri-cyclen lo ~ as in i was a complete train wreck. my boyfriend was convinced i was crazy, and i'm pretty sure it's what broke us up.
i don't wanna go crazy again! i told my doc about this, and she brought up loestrin24. i'm young, a few pounds overweight, moderate acne - and i would not like those to increase! any suggestions???

whatever you do don't get the depo shot. Causes extreme weight gain and a bunch of other problems....

i take yasmin, and while i noticed some slight mood changes when i started taking it, i absolutely love it now. no effect on my weight, clear skin, very predictable and light periods, etc. i definitely recommend it.

if you ever want to be prego,,,, don't do depo....i didn't experience too much weight gain, but we are having trouble getting prego.... I just don't think its worth it, have you considered NFP? Natural Family Planning?

There are rare cases with the depo shot. The girl I worked with was on Depo and ended up getting pregnant with twins

not saying you can't but if you aren't patient, don't do depo.....elevn months and counting to get regular and get prego

Soon as she got off Depo she got pregnant I think it was cause she was on it for such a short time. She packed on the pounds fast while on it. Poor thing.

I first started with the progestin only pills. in the beginning (first monthish) i had some break through bleeding.. at first it wasnt too bad, but eventually it was almost like i was having my period. this eventually turned into me getting my period twice a month. i also had crazy moods on this one. however, there was no weight gain at all and no acne troubles.
I have just recently started aviane and i have the mood swings, but not nearly as often. i get a few pimples from it, but its not that bad. i have gained maybe like 2 pounds from it, but i've only been on it for about a month.
