I admit I haven't been doing it very much, hardly at all. She cries and screams whenever I try it. And even after I pick her up she's still pretty upset. Any ideas?

It didn't seem to bug her to much at first but in the last month or so she has just started screaming if I give her belly time. I am hoping that it will get better with time like one of the previous posts said! We do put her on her tummy against our chests... that is a good tip. Sara20 04-28-2007, 10:38 PM i think they grow to like it..DS HATED tummy time...would scream his lungs out as soon as i would try and put him on his tummy..i think it wasnt until he started rolling that he would be on his belly! Give em a lil time..i think a lot of babies hate being on their belly! dentoncharlene 04-29-2007, 01:09 AM my daughter is 7 months old. she hates tummy time. she can roll over and when she rolls on her tummy she screams and is so fussy. i dont think she will ever learn to crawl if she keeps hating tummy time this bad. when she was younger she didnt mind it but now she hates it.:dizzy: MissChicopea 04-29-2007, 11:10 AM We didn't do tummy time because DD hated it. It didn't hurt her development at all. She learned to hold up her head and all that regardless. Eventually she would roll herself onto her tummy from her back when she was ready for it. mamaof4 04-30-2007, 08:31 AM If baby doesnt like tummy time dont do it. Simple. When they learn to roll over and they are on their tummies they will scream mostly becuase they havent figured out how to roll back. They them fuss for a few minutes and they will learn to do it on their own. My 9month old didnt start doing this till about 8months and she still fusses when she doesnt roll back fast enough. LOL |
