Hi everyone! I fell off after several events that derailed me. First I had to worry about my daughet (the five year old), she had an ostotomy 6 weeks ago and was getting her cast taken off. The hospital is an hour and a half away. I did not go. The trip would have been too much for me. She is fine. She did not even miss a beat, she was back playing and rough housing by the late afternoon.

I was also hit with extreme fatigue this last week. It was a struggle to get out of bed. I guess I posted a bad post and talked about stuff you are not supposed to. Needless to say the improvements I have seen since starting Mitox and other things have been great. I have weened down to 1 oxybutinin a day. I was taking four when I started the chemo and other stuff. I also went from 4 tizantadine a day to 1 or 2 a day. I think this is a great improvement.

My legs have been able to bear weight. I have not been able to walk since august. I did walk about 24 feet after my first chemo treatment. the improvements have been definitly measurable. I don't think I am getting stronger, but I have noticed muscles that I have not been able to use coming back.

I am waiting to see what factors have played the biggest factor in improving. The ability to walk might be from the iv steroids. The ability to control the bladder might be from the other stuff, or the Mitox, or something else. It is hard to nail down what is the help and what is just the natural progression of the disease. I will keep ya posted. I will also try to pick up some of the other threads.

Cheers

Hi Doug, Welcome Back, we missed you. So happy to hear your daughter is doing fine and it sounds like you are doing great. Keep up that walking....I too am doing much better now, maybe it was the chemo...I can now eat some more food, not beef or pork yet. But Chicken Breast is OK, but not fried. The milkshakes continue. I have noticed less muscle spasms and electrical impulses, however, like you still get very fatigued. How do you tolerate the heat? Take care and keep plugging. Lee Ann
