I didn't have any breakthrough bleeding on yasmin. my periods were long and heavy and after about 3 months I started having really bad cramping and switched back to mircette (i was on mircette pre-pregnancy for 3 years). I know other people who are on it and have absolutely no problems though...

I think yasmin is great! I have not had any break-through bleeding. I took yasmin for years, decided to try the newer Yaz. I hated it. Basically because I noticed a significant weight gain that I feel was caused by Yaz. I actually noticed a weight loss when I first started taking yasmin. Hope that helps. :)

I loved Yasmin for about a year and a half. My moods were great, cramps were nil, bloating was minimal, and I even lost 10lbs. THEN, I began to have chronic yeast infections and break through bleeding. Prior to that I was on OTC and at about a year and a half I began to break out with zits and have mood swings. My body generally outgrows a pill in about a year and a half's time. Other than the last few months of agony on Yasmin, I would say it was the best pill I have been on thus far. It had the best perks.
