I have been taking Lo-Ovral for years but switched to Desogen when I went to Planned Parenthood last month because they didn't have Lo-Ovral there. I have one more week of active pills left and I am wondering if I should stop now or just stick it out the rest of the week. I just don't like them. They make me very tired so I started taking them before bed-and as a result, have had weird dreams and a few mild nightmares and a few times woke up during them and my heart was beating so hard. And I wake up with horrible headaches. At first I thought that my body had to get used to them but after 3 weeks I know this pill is not for me.

Takes 3 months for your body to adjust to new BCP. The old hormones are still in your body and in conjunction with the new BCP added your body is out of wack. You can try a new brand if you feel more comfortable but that will be adding another different level of hormones into your body.

I am going today to my OBGYN and while there are people that love Yaz I have read others who despise the stuff. I was on Desogen for around 10 years. Had migraines almost the entire time I was on it. However I was skinny. I am thinking about asking him to write a script out for the name brand of Desogen which is Orthocept. It's been a while and I'm older now so I'm hoping that maybe I gave my body enough of f break to get back on it.

Are you saying that you would opt for migraines again in order to be skinny? Or was that a joke that I completely did not get? Maybe you were never actually getting migraines in the first place because I am thinking that if you were, you'd probably NEVER want to go back on the drug that gave them to you. They're definitely not like little sinus headaches, that's for sure. I just wanted to clarify that because it concerned me for some odd reason.
