Hi there,

I have noticed some weird things going on in my eye.

1) I sometimes see darting bright lights.. like a tiny worm which darts around and then goes.

2) Sometimes I have a bright shape that seems to be 'burnt' into my eye. if i stare, I do not see it, but if I blink fast, it appears and then goes. Also if I look at something dark and ten quickly at something bright like the sky.

3) Today, I sat down and my vision became 'darkened' in areas almost as though I had looked at a bright light. Could this be because i sat down too quickly?

These things do not happen all the time or all at once, I was just curious as to what they could be.

Any ideas?

2) sounds like afterimages. 1) and 3) could be blood pressure related although 3) is usually on standing up rather than sitting down. Look up orthostatic hypotension and it wouldn't hurt to get an eye exam.
