Just got them and I'm having trouble getting acclimated. The nagging feeling in my eye isn't the problem. I am having a problem calibrating my vision. I was 20/400 with glasses in my left eye and these contacts have totally reshaped my cornea and my eye is 20/25 now.

My right eye was 20/20 before and had been doing all the work for my left eye. Is it going to take a few weeks for my brain to adjust and allow both eyes to work together? Colors seem sharper and there is an obvious difference when I close my right eye and look through my left. My right is fine also when I do that. Just seems like my brain has shut down my left eye.

Thanks.

To go from 20/400 to 20/25 is absolutely amazing. The question you ask is one for the eye doc as to whether fusion can occur or whether you will continue to have monocular vision and have to switch from eye to eye.

Well I went back to the eye doctor and when he lowered my prescription in my bad eye instantly everything came back into focus! It's still a lot better than with glasses, just not as powerful as it could be for the one eye.

Does this sound reasonable for long term?

I'm not sure I understand. The doc changed the prescription for the left eye and that works well, but I'm not clear as to whether you have binocular vision now.
