Congratulations Mom!!

I didn't have palpatations since I was in the hospital with a IV line of morphine going into me for a week. :dizzy: Now that I think of it, that was probably a good idea for my first week. :D  LOL

Mom,
If you are concerned, please don't hesitate to call your doctor. It is probably nothing. Maybe anxiety from quitting smoking. Maybe your body's way of trying to get your attention to get you to light up again. It could be a number of things. If they get too bothersome, please do call the doctor.
Nicotine withdrawal symptoms:
irritability, mood swings, restlessness, insomnia, fatigue
inability to concentrate, sore throat, cough, congestion, headache,
increased appetite constipation, gas, stomach pain, dry mouth
sore tongue/gums , postnasal drip, tightness in the chest.

CONGRATULATIONS ON BEING SMOKE FREE FOR 1 DAY!! WHAT A MILESTONE FOR YOU!! YOU'RE DOING IT!!!

Good Luck to you!!

Congratulations!!!!

I've had some palpitations, but it's probably from my state of anxiety and the patch. I mostly have them at bedtime when everything is quiet and I start thinking about things. The other night, I was very scared because I thought I was having a heart attack! Wouldn't that just be my luck! All this withdrawal for 26 days, then die of a heart attack! I would definitely be smoking if I knew I only had 3 weeks left to live! LOL

Hang in there and keep posting!!!!!

Do not use the boards for cliquey groups. All who are ceasing smoking are welcome on any thread, and no thread is to be exclusive based on a cessation method.

If anyone refers to a group, the thread will be closed.
