Hi,

I had a root canal done about 1 year ago. Top molar next to eye tooth. Ok...so the dentist told me that he could not put a post crown as the root of my tooth had a fracture/crack in it. He filled it. More filling than tooth. 2 months later the filling fell out. He bonded it and built the tooth up with bonding. On the tongue side of my tooth now I feel like a small piece of bonding peeled off....it is a little sharp. I am petrified. Can they fill it in? My tooth was root canaled and between that (it is dead) and the crack I think I am doomed. I wonder if it can be filled in a little without a whole lot of trauma. Help.

thanks.

Well you're not doomed. It seems like it might be time to consider a tooth removal and an implant. After a while a tooth cannot be saved and all the bonding and filling, etc. only helps pay the dentist's car payments.

You should be referred to an implant specialist and get another opinion.

So this can't be fixed? I don't have the $$$ for an implant.
