Hi i'm new to this site and was hoping some one could answer some things for me?5 years ago i was told i had severe displysia after my biospy was told i needed to freeze it (cervical) or cone biospy ...(i didn't like the dr.) anyway 3 weeks later found out i was prego. 6 months after i had my baby i had another biopsy and was told i was hpv neg. and i was fine.... so i ended up moveing and stayed with my yearly pap everything was fine never a mention of anything untill i went to some womens clininc it was time for my yearly in dec. and didn't here anything soo i thought no news is good news then on feb 14 (valentines!!of all days)i got a letter saying that my pap was abnormal and my hpv was neg. and retest in 1 year i was soo mad i was not informed sooner!!! anyway i got in with a sp( we have been ttc for 1 1/2 yrs ) and it took awhile to get in with this dr. i really liked him he was very nice and informative anyway he did another pap and i let him go ahead with another biopsy right there he said that it was pre cancerous i get the results next wensday....what are my chances of it being cancer could the dr be wrong??and what if i just left it alone would it for sure turn to cancer??...I'm starting to worry about it... any thoughts?

:) Thanks for the reply , I wish you well on your results!i guess acolposcopyis the actual term of what i had also... he was really nice and thought that i would end up having the it removed but we would wait untell wensday ..when do you get your results back?

I am new to this board and really glad I found it! I had an abnormal pap in Jan then the colposcopy in Feb with High risk HPV and CIN III. I was horrified!

I just had the LEEP proceedure on Monday and after all the panic and worry, it was really easy. I did the out patient day surgery, it was great, wake up and its all over. I am now waiting to hear the pathology results, another waiting game which as you all know is not fun. I am really nervous that the results will come back with bad news. I have a bad feeling!

The LEEP proceedure is not bad, it is the recovery that is really kind of gross and no one warns you about, until you find a board like this.
I am so glad to find out I am not the only one going through this!

I have my cone this Thursday, May 10th. As the time gets closer and closer I get more scared. I don't think it's the surgery that scares me as much as what they may find out with the biopsy results. I'm just hoping for the best!

my results will be back wensday i hate waitting it was really great at my last app. he did the colposapy w/biospy (my spelling is very bad lol) while i was there !!!! i was shocked but i was already in there surgery room for the app. (just the way it worked out ) any way i had no time to stress!! so i'lli i have is the week to stress on the results lol.... I'm also spotting i hardly ever spot.but now i'm constantly spotting. there also doing som labs on my hormones and my reg dr. noticed blood in my urine (not sure if it was because of spotting) so any way there is no infection though so unsure if it stuff for the gyn or my pcp oh well i'll go for my 3 rd urine check and then i'll call the gyn and let him know....and see other wise the nurse thought i would be going to the uroligist

Ladybuggy - I get my results June 7th so I have a while to wait! Just trying to really keep busy so there isnt time to think about it. I dont know how I am mentally going to wait that long!
Been feeling ok since the proceedure, week and dizzy at times now some cramping, but I tend to over do it when I feel good ......a 2 and 4 year old to keep up with.

Do they do a colposcopy and biopsy everytime you go back now for a pap?

Good luck with the spotting too, hope it is not serious. Let us know how things go and how you are feeling.
