Hi everyone, I have had migraines all my life and as of lately I have had 10 to 15 migraines in the April alone and it is killing me. I am taking serzone and many anti-depressents because I also have depression. I am 18 now and life is not getting any easyer. The doctors told me I would grow out of them but now they are saying I will have them the rest of my life. I have some cases were I am sleeping and I have a migrain and I have had alot of them when I am awake. The scarey part is I have pasted out do to the pain 4 times and have also lost vision or control in my body so I could not move around many times. I also for some reason at night when I am migraining I turn blue or purple. I can go and sleep for days with out waking up when migraining. It has gotten so bad I painted the windows black and only have a 40 watt bulb in my room and I wear sun glasses when I leave my room. What should I do?

does this ever happend to any one here.
Hi KIba, I have all the same symptoms with migraines, I also get all those symptoms without the head pain occas. ( I do not however turn blue, that I know of anyway) I have been told for years these are migraines or ocular migraine, or silent migraine (the ones without pain) But they are anything but silent when you lose vision an muscle control. Have they given you anything? I take inderal everynight to prevent them. It worked a bit for a while but not anymore and I'm going to a neurologist in a couple of weeks. Has anyone suggested this to you? I know how scary theses can be as I always wonder if this time it's a stroke? I feel for you, you need to talk to your doctor again or see another one if they haven't tried any meds for this. I understand there are alot of preventatives out there as well as meds that should give immed. relief. ( I cannot take these due to bad reactions, but alot of people can) Just make sure you discuss what meds you are already taking! You said you're on many antidepressents? How many? Not sure but many sounds like alot, did you discuss the possibility of any of them or all together giving you headaches? Are they all prescribed by the same doctor? I just never heard of taking many at one time before. I would definitley seek another opinion. There are many meds out there for you to try.

You should ask your doctor about amitryptaline. It's an anti-depressant that a neurologist once told me was the "best migraine prevention on the market". I suffered for years from migraines and was put on it for a completely different reason (back injury). While I was on it, I had not one headache. After my back healed, the orthopedic doc took me off of it. Two days later I had a mind blowing migraine and went to the neuro. He put me back on it.
It has some side effects that take some getting used to, but if it stops the headaches, it's worth it, right? Good luck.
