I had a colposcopy or however it is spelled the middle of March. Right after my first period after a miscarriage. Well since I have not had a period. My DR thinks it could be a hormonal problem but I dont know?? I had one why would my hormones just change. I did do a home pregnancy test and it was negitive and went to my medical doctor and she also told me no so now I dont know??? Help please!!

Hi Manda
I have had the same thing happen to me. My periods got strange after my proceedures, but i went off bc and i turned 41 all at the same time as my first abnormal pap so i have never really been able to figure out what was going on. I know that im not pregnant so im assuming that its the stress of everything that is going on with my body. You have been through some pretty tramatic experiences so it could just be your body healing as well.

Sorry i couldnt be more help.

Take care
~Lisa

Yes...it does and im sorry that during one of the happiest times of your life you are dealing with this, BUT one of the things that you will notice that is key with HPV is that you have to try to control your stress. I was the same way when i got dx and i still get very stressed out, but im learning to roll with the punches and just to stay on top of it.

You will see that alot of women who have dealt with abnormal paps and the proceedures that usually follow are going on to have normal pregnancies and im sure the same will be true for you. Do what your dr says, read this message board and stay on top of things and you will do just fine.

Good luck
