View Full Version : Pre-cooked Chicken Breast

Umm, this might not be the best place to ask this question, but please pardon me; I’m going to ask anyway. hehe Surely, there’s a place I can purchase a big bag of pre-cooked chicken breasts (similar to those Chicken Subs sold in Subway). Unfortunately, both SAM and Costco don’t carry those. Where else should I try?

Thanks!

you can get pre-cooked chicken in a can, but it's not quite like the chicken at subway. it's cut into chunks and doesn't taste that great, but you can eat it right out of the can.

They sell pre-cooked, packaged chicken (various yummy flavors)in supermarkets in the meat department. I think some is made by Hormel, maybe other companies too. Just ask someone who works in the store and they will show you where to find it.

Thanks for responding, everyone. OK Sam’s Club does have pre-cooked chicken breasts, but aren’t the ones I’m looking for. I meant their chicken breasts are more for the sandwich types; they slice them so thin! Anyway, I’ll check it again the next time I’m there. Thanks!

The pre-cooked chicken breast that I mentioned is NOT the kind you get at the deli section of the supermarket for making sandwiches. The one I was talking about is found in the regular meat section of the market (where you buy raw chicken parts). It is sometimes placed right above, or next to, the fresh poultry. I guess that's to catch people's attention who are there to buy chicken for dinner and this is to temp them to get the pre-cooked kind instead and save them some work in the kitchen.

just an idea, but this is what I do. I Cook about 5 frozen chicken breasts at a time and then I keep them in the fridge. These usually last me about 4-5 days.
