:confused: Okie im starting to worry a little, i can not feel the strings to my IUD! Iv'e had it for 11 months and of course have problems with it. But do you think i could get pregnant since i can't feel my strings?
Does anyone have the IUD and can't feel their strings?

Hello...I have Mirena and have never been able to feel my strings - but I also haven't tried very hard either. I've had the IUD for 5 months. I'm not worrying yet - I know it's not lost. I have a checkup next month so hopefully Doc will be able to confirm the strings are still hanging out. Doc made sure not to trim them too short when she inserted it.

I'm almost positive you won't be able to get pregnant if you can't feel your strings. The IUD can't go anywhere (at least not that I know of) so it's still doing it's birth controlling job. It might be worth a call to your Doc...even if just to ease your mind.
