Satisfied0101 05-02-2007, 03:49 PM I had the lifestyle lift almost two months ago. The surgery went well, and I didn't even experience a lot of pain. After surgery, I did have some minor swelling and bruising, but I followed my doctors recommendations and I kept applying ice and within a couple of days the bruising and swelling subsided. I am extremely happy with my results and I'm so happy I did my research and followed through with this! :)

I too had a great experience with lifestyle lift. I can't explain what this has done for my self image. I feel soooo much better about myself now that i got rid of that ugly turkey neck of mine.
Take care and thanks for sharing!

charlotte02 05-06-2007, 12:03 AM I am also interested in the Lifestyle procedure but have heard that it does not last very long (1 year). I was wondering if you knew someone that had the procedure 2 years or more and are still happy with the results. I want to get something done but don't want to be out of work for 3 weeks and I prefer not to be put to sleep. I also wants something that will last at least 4 years.
kind1 05-06-2007, 02:37 PM I don't know anyone personally that has had the Lifestyle Lift but I read somewhere that a patient was very unhappy with the results and that she looked basically the same in a couple of weeks or so. Perhaps it was the surgeon that was not qualified or had the training for it(?) If you do decide to go thru with it, please consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon, ask for 'before and after' photos and ask for references from previous patients. It's also a good idea to ask the physician how many procedures he has done of them and if they have been recent. PS's tend to specialize in a certain area such as face, body or breast procedures. Please also get 2 or 3 opinions before making a decision.
charlotte02 05-08-2007, 07:25 AM Thanks, Kind1.
Jazzyjaz and satisfied0101 - Where did you have your surgery done? Can you share the doctor's name?
Satisfied0101 05-08-2007, 04:37 PM I had my lift by Dr. Haugen in Ft. Lauderdale.
pieknababa 05-10-2007, 12:15 PM I've been doing my research on the lifestyle lift and here is some info I found:

This medical practice is the latest firm to utilize new age technology to address baby boomers need to stay youthful. Promising patients can look years younger in about an hour, this procedure has been highly televised in local news programming.
Cosmetic Today surveyed dozens of clients at different locations and witnessed several procedures.
PROS: Results can be dramatic for patients with loose necks,
jowls and frown lines. Well worth it for the small price tag. Doctor’s roster reads like a “Who’s Who” list of plastic surgeons with some graduating from Harvard and other renowned Universities.
CONS: The long waits. Common complaints included waiting during a free consultation and the wait list to do a procedure could be up to 2 months in some offices.
charlotte02 05-10-2007, 08:19 PM Wow, thanks Pieknababa! These results look good to me. I have heard that quite a few people are satisfied and I think this is something that I am going to do but can't find too much feedback regarding physicians in the Atlanta area. Is this something that you are also considering?
jazzyjaz 05-14-2007, 06:17 PM Dr. Jafri of New York did my lift.
charlotte02 05-15-2007, 08:36 PM I have not gone for a consultation yet. I kinda wanted to get some feedback from others who have had it done first. Would you be willing to share your experience after your procedure? That would be greatly appreciated.
charlotte02 05-15-2007, 08:39 PM Those that had the procedure, how long did you take off from work? How long before you were presentable for outdoor adventures?
checkers 05-16-2007, 09:01 AM Can you tell me where they place the incisions and if any scaring. I cant seem to find any info on that. Thank you
Satisfied0101 05-16-2007, 11:33 AM I made sure I took off of work for a week. I didn't know what I was going to expect after, so I wanted to give myself enough time to recover. After the procedure, like I said, I did experience some bruising and swelling. I stayed at home for the first three days, but after the fourth day I left my house and did my usual errands. My face wasn't the size of a basketball so I didn't mind going out in public, i was just kind of embarrassed that I was a little bruised up, and my hair was a mess because I couldn't wash it right away.
Satisfied0101 05-16-2007, 01:14 PM A small incision is made right around the front of the ear and it goes around to the back. Its like a backwards J. As for the scarring, I don't scar that easily, so I can barely tell where the incisions were made on me.
Can you tell me where they place the incisions and if any scaring. I cant seem to find any info on that. Thank you

Satisfied - Was 7 days off of work enough? Do you have large scars around the ears? Just wondering because I wear my hair up alot and want to ensure that I will still be able to wear it this way.
