Does anyone know the cost of grafting surgery? I know it varies. NY area please?

I am having it done on the lower bottom of my teeth and it cost about $1000 and I live in NJ.

Thanks. You mean $1,000 and $715 for an entire bottom or for a quad? How many teeth does this cover? sorry.......I am curious as I see recession badly on one tooth on my bottom where the molar next to it is missing. Don't know....i have to make an appt. and I am afraid of what I am going to hear. I hope they can save the tooth.

$715 for me was just for one tooth....I had four teeth grafted at four different appointments at $715 per appointment.

That price sounds about the same as mine...$850 Cdn for one tooth.
I am very happy with the results. It has worked for me and the procedure was not at all as bad as I thought. You don't really feel anything b/c the area is frozen. It was the recovery I found a bit worse as it was difficult to eat anything solid for a little while, but overall worth it!

I have one tooth that is pretty bad......I don't know if they can even do this for me. 800 per tooth. Don't they charge for the tissue removal from the donor place as well?

How long were not able to eat?

My price included the graft itself...this was taken from the roof of my mouth.
I was on soft foods for a few days (pudding, soup, applesauce) and then after about a week was able to eat things like soft noodles. However, my perio would not give me the go-ahead to eat solid foods until my 2 week check-up after the procedure, but I think this varies between periodontists.

How bad was your tooth before the graft?

How do you know if they can't graft it?

My gum was receeding, but not yet to the root level. The xray did not show any bone loss.
