View Full Version : 2 LONG periods in 3 weeks...what is wrong??

I posted one other question in here about my experience with taking YAZ birth control pills for regularity. If you didn't read it, basically, I was on it for about 15 days and became VERY moody and emotional..crying all the time about nothing...and also had extreme nausea every night from 5pm until I went to bed. I couldn't even eat dinner at night because I felt too sick. I stopped taking it 3 days ago and have stopped feeling the nausea and feel better in general...happier. HOWEVER, there is a new issue. I started my period about 2 weeks ago from today..that was the first day that I started on birth control. My period lasted from the 19th of april and finally stopped on the 28th (this is VERYYYY long for me). Then I stopped taking the pill on 29th because I couldn't take the side effects. Now, it is May 2nd and my period has started again. HOW CAN MY PERIOD START, STOP, wait 2-3 days and then start again?????? Should I be alarmed or is this a normal side effect when coming off of the pill??? Thanks- Catherine
