Has any one experienced this symptom? Earlier this afternoon, all of a sudden, the corners of my mouth were very sore and then a couple of hours later I have large swellings in my mouth. Is this yet another symptom. Anyone else experienced this. :(

My husband is a dentist and he tells me that this will happen in women going thru menopause. Try not to be upset but please get this checked if it persists. Best to go to a oral surgeon or a peridontist. Best of luck to you.

Hi there,
I too have had some issues with my mouth during menopause. I just turned 50.
It started with dry mouht and then I had some sores. This has passed some but now I am suffering with enlarged taste buds on the back of my tongue.
I have been to my dentist, ENT and regular doctor. Many serious blood test looking for auto immune problems, lupus. Thank God none. But still no answers and they can not find out what is wrong. The taste buds are driving me CRAZY!!
Anyone else have the taste buds enlarged? How about dry mouth????
Sabe' :-)
