Well it wasn't what I expected. Before the procedure started the Dr. said it will be somewhere between ok and horrible. (That's comforting..not.) I was relaxed as I could be, but her putting in the speculum hurt a little. Then when she put the vinegar solution on, it stung basically the entire time. The first sample biopsy she took didn't hurt, but the other 2 I felt a little sting. After the biopsy she did an ECC, or something like that, where she scrapes a little bit of the cervix. That was the most pain. It felt like really bad period cramps and you can feel the pressure on your cervix. After it was over she said some black clumpy stuff may come out of my vagina, but that it was normal and it would go away. I had no cramping after I got up from the procedure. I feel fine now it's been about half and hour since I got back from the Dr.
For anyone that has to get a colposcopy, it's not the worst thing in the world, but it's not pleasant either. It's bearable, and if I can do, anyone can! :)
Good Luck to anyone that has to get one!
