RE did a fine job and I got to keep my uterus!!! Although one thing we couldn't see on SHG. The left fallopian tube had to be removed along with the polyps and fibroids. But he left the ovary so if we needed to do IVF I can use eggs from both ovaries. But I'm counting on BFP on my IUI.
Two of the small fibroids were left alone to mimimize the uterine muscle damage. Now the 8WW begins. On the second checkup we'll see if I healed well enough for IUI. I'm now on BCP and have other hormone tab that I need to place on cervix twice a day. I'm probably only going to need pain pills a few more days. Although, I never expected the breathing tube to leave my throat so sore. Feels like a horrible strep throat that was left for too long without anti-biotics. When I talk it sounds like a croak. But I'm patient and I'm excited that now with a "clean" uterus hopefully a little bean will stick. thanks again to all for those good wishes you sent my way!
Yigo that's great. I am so glad things went well and you are on your way to recovery. this should give you lots of hope now that you still have your uterus. i pray IUI works for you and it will only be a few short weeks before you can try it. i hope you have a speedy recovery without too much pain too. you must be so happy that surgery was a success!

Hi Yigo
so good to hear from you and glad everything went fine. Did they remove the tube? I also had Lap. last year in Oct. and got both the tubes removed coz both were hydrosalpinx.
Wishing you a speedy recovery and may God pays off for all this pain.

Hi Yigo!! So glad to hear the surgery was a success!!! I'll be praying for you to have a speedy recovery so you can get back to TTC after the 8ww.
Good to hear from you! By the way, I know what you mean about the breathing tube. I experienced the same thing after my first lap, and it does make you feel like you have strep! It should fade soon though.

Yigo, congrats! So good to hear that you can move forward! I also felt the sore throat for a day or two after both of my laps from the breathing tube. The old wives tale about gargling with salt water actually helped a little. Get some rest and prepare for your IUI! :)

Victorria,
Time and the salt water trick seem to help the sore throat. And last night my DH helped me shower, I couldn't be happier with my healing progress so far. Napping really seems to be the trick.

Hi Yigo... Just wanted to tell you that I'm thinking about you and hoping that the recovery will keep going well. In the meantime, try to enjoy your napping and pampering that you can get from DH! I hope you are feeling better... I know the future will bring you a BFP and now you are one step closer to it!

Congrats on your surgery. You seem to be in the same boat with me. I conceived my litle girl now 7 months after a Laparatomy to remove adhesions. The conception happened after a month. 10 months later my bay was born on 22nd September 2006 through c-section performed on the same place of laparotomy. It works and I hope it will work for you. Good luck. It is normal for the throat to be felt that way it will go with time. Wishing you all the best. You are in my thoughts and prayers
Anja1980 I am so thrilled for you!! Congratulations. This definately bolsters my confidence. I'm not sure if after this first BCP packet if RE will think I'm ready for IUI. He may make me wait one additional cycle. But whatever it takes, it's worth it right :-)
