Will any ab wheel roller work when they are labeled on a box?

I remember seeing one with a stick and a wheel in the center at wal-mart, it looks kind of cheapish dunno the price and name though.

The ones you guys have what are they called and how much?

I live in Canada so any canadians know of any good ones too?

well mine was £25 in united kingdom pounds quiet cheap i have,nt heard of that one with a stick i would,nt of thought u needed that coz u just hold onto the handles and push back and forth with it dont know where the stick comes into it there are loads about ones with 3 wheels to 4 wheels i would of thought the 4 wheeled ones r better tho

£25?? Is cheap?

I dunno that is like $57 CAD here too much! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

Does yours look like this? http://www.weltbild-ideenshop.de/abs_master/563601.htm

From my previous post i decided to go to my local wal-mart and is about $6 CAD that is cheap http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif. It is made by Athletic Works and i couldn't find it on the net but it looks sort of like this..

Is not that expensive so will do you think that type of ab roller will work? Or is it piece of junk? http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

I have the ABRoller from walmart it was cheap and it works great to get the muscles working in your stomach and i notice it in my butt too.

but for me i have been working on losing the flab so all that toned muscle can shine thru!

good luck!

Wow Kimia seriosuly?

Im kinda hesitating to try it and buy it or not. I kinda agree what jade and my sister said with that ab roller it will be difficult to pull myself back to the start and do more ab excercise since it looks so basic.

But then again what do i gotta lose? It won't even cost me $10 and if it doesnt work screw it lol..

thx for the replies though ppl http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

My suggestion would be to use an exercise ball. It forces you to use your "core" (transversus abdominis) muscles, thus producing the "flat" look most go for.

just stick a 10lb plate onto each side of a ez curl bar!

really has that ball worked for u coz thats what i want a flat stomach

another thing is that 3 wheeled thing i dont do a warm up or cool down i just roll for 5 mins is that ok to do that with out doing the warm ups and cool downs

coz im really feeling it i cant even cough coz it hurts so much in my stomach is this normal ?

is it coz i just got to get use to it or maybe i should of taken it easy when i started useing it i only done about 15 rolls lol is it coz im just unfit ?

and it will stop hurting after regular use ?

Unless I am missing something, these ab wheels have 2 wheels and not 3. They do work if you have an already flat stomach you want tightened and toned. If you have some flab, don't expect to lose that unless you are dieting and incorporating cardio in your routine. I also noticed they hit your upper body too somewhat indirectly. Whoever uses them, how many sets/reps do you do?

I think the bottom line to ABs is if they are covered with a layer of fat, it won't matter how much or little you work them, you won't see them. You can't burn fat off of your stomach by simply doing ab workouts, you really have to add some cardio. I work abs every other day for about 20-30 mins...using a variety of exercises...you don't have to use anything...crunches, curls, etc...work just as well. The key is good form, consistency, and CARDIO to burn the fat so you can see them.
You might want to visit bestabs.com, that site might give you some ideas.

I too have the Ab Wheel which I purchased from Walmart for about$8.99.I have been using it on and off for about 3 years.I usually do 2 sets of 15 and 1 set of 20.I try to do this about 3 times a week.I use this in conjunction with weight lifting and Tae Bo or jogging. If you miss a week or more of not using it you will be sore the first time you go back to it(the Ab Wheel.)
