View Full Version : bad dental care question

I know a guy who has black calculus on the top of his teeth near his gums. He also has some small spots on his teeth and his lower teeth appear to be rotting, they are all brown and it appears that he has a severe plaque build up behind his lower teeth. Obviously he neglects to brush and never flosses and probably hasnt been to the dentist, ever. My question is could the bacteria that has developed on his teeth be causing him to have other health problems? He is always tired. He used to smoke and he used to drink alot, hard stuff, now just a glass of red wine a day and maybe a beer or so on weekends. Didnt know where else to ask the question is there a correlation between bad oral hygiene and felling tired? I know that this condition can put people at risk for a stroke or heart attack but that was all I could find on line.
