Each pill reacts differently with each persons body chemistry. Some may loose alot some may gain alot some people remain the same. Many people that take Loestrin seem not to have gained weight but I gained 22lbs.

It's trial and error with BCP. I was given Yaz by my doctor and decided against taking it when I read all the people on this board and other message boards that lost their hair on it.

You don't actually lose any significant weight. Yaz and Yasmin have a diuretic in it so there is a potential to lose a little water weight. That doesn't amount to much more than like 3-5 lbs at the very most. But if you ask me, all of the other side effects of the pill make it totally not worth it just for weight loss purposes. I mean, if you really need to lose weight then jump on the treadmill, don't rely on some stupid pill to do all the work for you. The birth control is not meant to be used as a weight loss pill, anyway. A doctor would never prescribe it for that purpose.

I will take my first pill tonight. I thought about not even switching...just stick with orthrotricylen but my Dr. seems to think this pill will help with my fluid retention and mood swings. Hopefully, my body chemistry will be receptive to this type of hormone (s). Thank you for the advice.

Thanks for the reply. I'm already dedicated to the treadmill 45min a day plus weight training. I heard so much hype about all of the weight people were losing on this particular pill...just wanted to see what the board thought.
