Hello everyone
I am new to the board , born in the 80's. I am a mother of a 7 months old baby girl ( conceive after going through infertility:confused: ). I just want to encourage ladies who are going through fertililty problems right now.
I ttc for 2 years. In the year 2005 we went to fertility specialist who did different tests on both me and my hubby. Hubby had no problems but I had a problem that was making me not to ovulate. I was having menses every month but no ovulation. I was given a drug called Clomid 50 mg. I took it the following month, March 2005 and conceived right away. It was like a dream. Unfortunately lost the preg in June 2005. Had D&C was given the same drug to ttc after 2 months. We started ttc after 1 month against Doctors will but could not get pregnant again. Instead I was having pain on one side of my uterus. Went to fertility specialist again who scheduled me for a Laparoscopy November 2005. He continued to do a Tuboplasty/Laparotomy to remove adhesions that blocked both of my fallopian tubes. He could not understand how I managed to fall pregnant with all that mess on my tubes.
The operation left me with 2 incision 5 cm long below bely button another one along the pubic hair line which was 20 cm long. He gave us ok to start ttc after one month (period) with the help of the same fertility drug clomid. We didnt take it to see if we could conceive on our own since I had been taking the drug from June (miscarriege). In January 2006 (same month we started ttc) we realised that we were pregnant. It was tough because instead of the incisions to be healing they were expanding. I had to meet dr twice or thrice a month to access the growth of the baby and see how the incisions were healing. End september 2006 my baby girl was born through c-sections done on the same place ie of previous operation. The baby was health despite of my late recovering. Dr thought it took time for me to recover because of 2 incisions in 10 months.
I just want to encourage ladies who might be facing what I have written above not to worry. YOu need to do what dr thinks will rectfy your problem. I never know I would be a mother but with the help on an operation I am a mother. I understand how infertility hurts but if you try very hard your problem will be solved. I hope to meet many ladies with who I can share my experiencies with Good luck ladies. Sorry my post is very long
