Almost 3 weeks ago I had 1 wisdom tooth extracted on the lower left side. The tooth was impacted and there was a lot of drilling and breaking required to extract the tooth (which had 3 roots!!!).

I started experiencing increased pain about 3 days post surgery and went back to the dentist a week after surgury. I was told that the pain was due to inflammation and should subside within another 3 to 4 days. He said things looked like they were healing well and there was no sign of dry socket.

Its been almost 2 weeks since my last visit and I'm still in pain. I'm now experiencing what feels like a constant ear ache and I'm getting a headache on the rear left side of my head and neck. Ibuprofin and Tylenol don't seem to help much either.

What could the problem be and how can I treat it?

Itai, are you still using a syringe and warm salt water to wash out your socket? I find that by flushing my sockets out after I eat help a lot with alleviating the pain. Hope you feel better.
