I have almost constant gnawing deep pain in my upper arms mostly, but also in lower arms and hands. I do have some cervical disc issues, bulging, compressing, some degeneration. I'm in traction now but it's not really helping. Does anyone have this type of pain and if so what do you do for it? Mine at times is unbearable. I'm doubtful this is due to my spine issues, as I have other symptoms all over my body as well. Thanks for any input. P.s. Just started Lyrica so hoping that will help.

I was in a head on crash about 19 years ago and for many many years I had chronic arm pain and numbness espcecially on the right side where my neck cracked. Over the years this pain has increased and decreased with posture activity, development of scoliosis. Yes sometimes my arm pain feels deep and when it bad I feel like I'm burning.

I have cervical disk issues from C3-6, and had a C4-5 ACDF last fall. I too have problems with arm pain. I had some arm pain before my surgery, but now since my surgery last fall its getting much worse as time passes. Recently I've been reading about something called Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy which to my understanding is basically a chronic nerve pain cycle. I am not sure that is what I have, nor am I sure that is what is affecting the other posters in this thread. But it does seem to describe my symptoms and I do plan to ask my doctor about it. I also just started myofascial massage. I had my first session yesterday and wow did it feel wonderful! I am really hopeful that the massage therapy is going to help me be more comfortable regardless of what the underlying condition might be.
