Viktorria 05-07-2007, 06:30 PM Girls, there's been a lot of bad news on the boards today, so I'm hoping that my news is encouraging and not salt in the wound. I feel a little guilty about posting.
I got to see the heartbeat today! It was this little white pulse spot on the monitor. They wouldn't let me hear it b/c they said new studies suggest it is damaging to the embryo, but we could clearly see it. They said it was 116 bpm. I'm 6 weeks, 1 day, so they said the average is between 100-120. Also, the progesterone increase helped and I'm up to 39 from 27 so they are happy with that too. This next week will be the hardest on me because it was between 6 and 7 weeks that I miscarried before. I feel like I'm just holding my breath, wishing next Monday was here.

Kari15 05-07-2007, 06:47 PM Vik, that is fabulous news and very warming considering how cold the board has been today. I am so happy for you and your little one and I pray that all continues to go smoothly the remainder of your term! Don't ever be sorry to share the good news... we need that to keep us inpired. This should be one of the happiest days of your life and I hope you enjoy it to the fullest. Please keep us posted on how you are doing. I hope next week comes as fast and as uneventful for you as possible :)
Army Wife 05-07-2007, 07:07 PM I think I echo everyone else so far...but don't ever feel bad about sharing good news!! That's the great thing about the ladies on this board...we feel each others disappointments and pain, and celebrate each others successes and happiness!
That is what we are here for !!!
Thank you for sharing your story!
Laurie
TryN2BMommy 05-07-2007, 09:51 PM Vik, that's great news, and we definitely need some of that today!! I agree with everyone else. Don't ever feel bad for posting your good news. It's what keeps us going. Try not to worry about m/c and enjoy every moment. When is your next u/s?
Holly
carisa 05-07-2007, 10:01 PM For some reason hearing good news from the ladies on this board is not the same as hearing it from a neighbor who has 12 kids running around at her feet. I'm sure you understand that one.
Congratulations on your ultrasound. :D

Good news brings happiness so its welcome anytime of our lives !
Hey, I'm really happy for you glad everything went fine and you managed to see your little one's heartbeat. As Mapia said, don't think anything negative and just enjoy the moments with your angel, who is grown inside you.
Lots of love

I just read on Mapia's thread where you have good things to say about your RE. I remember you mentioning that your RE's office is in DE I know its gonna be far but you know nothing matters when it comes to having babies.
I really want to do some thorough research on some other IVF centers before I start my next IVF cycle with Shady Grove. Can you please send me some details on your RE? I have already got GIVF, Mid Atlantic Fertility Center - I will start calling them tomorrow and get some more info on their success rates.
I didn't want to ask you this Q on the same post and sound rude. Is it really that difficult to have just one baby :( are we really asking too much from God. I feel so sorry for Mapia.
Thanks so much Vik. Hope you are doing good if I remember correctly your next u/s is on 5/21 or 22

Viktorria 05-10-2007, 09:04 PM Hi Golds. I see Reproductive Associates of Delaware. The doctor is Ron Feinberg (he kind of looks like Richard Dreyfuss!). The surgical doctor is Barbara McGuirk. Both are very good, but Dr. McGuirk is big on the high proteint diet and if she treats you, get ready for it.
I'm sorry, I should probably know this, but what is the cause of your infertility, or is it unknown? If you decide to make the trip, let me know. Maybe we can get together for lunch.
