Hi, I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing Dry mouth from Menopause?
I am 50 and have began to go through the change. The dry mouth is not as bad as it was, but what is bothering the most is Enlarged Taste buds on the back of my tongue! They go up and down! This has been going on for MONTHS and it is driving me crazy!
I have been to my dentist, ENT and my doctor. They have run some pretty intense blood work and cannot give me an answer to these HUGE taste buds that at times make me feel like I could gag!
Anyone else with mouth problems as they go through menopause!!
Thanks!

Hi,
I have not had any problems (yet) with enlarged taste buds, but I do have problems off and on with dry mouth and sores on the roof of my mouth. Mouth problems are one of the symptoms of perimenoapuse. I notice the dry mouth and sores if I have just alittle too much fruit. Acid never caused me any problems before, but now I can't even have a banana without waking up with a sore mouth. The only thing I can rec. is warm salt water rinses help some. Hope you get to feeling better. Ann

Hi Ann,
Wow, I too went through the sores in my mouth. Same thing, fruits seemed to trigger it big time.
I have been on Natural Progestern and all that has left, but the taste bud thing bothers me still. They go up and down and it can be pretty intense at times.
Thank you for your reply it is so appreciated. Turing 50 is not a joy that is for sure! In my head I am still 20! Yet this body is giving me so much trouble!! :-)
