Just got my results from my first post-cold knife cone pap! The results are NORMAL!! Wanted to share because when I was first diagnosed with carcinoma in situ and high-risk HPV last October, I NEVER thought there would be light at the end of the tunnel. I was terrified and shocked, and all during the weeks of tests and procedures (colposcopy, LEEP with positive margins, talk of hyserectomy, etc, etc and then the cold knife cone) I really thought that life as I knew it was over.
Well, I do know that I have to keep up with the paps, and I know it can come back, but *please*, those of you who are going through the initial hell of this diagnosis, understand that you can get to the other side of it!
Good luck to ALL of you!
