There has been recent discussion regarding possible extended treatment with forteo . I went to the National Institute of Health site and looked at the Clinical Trials section under forteo to see if there were any tests looking at extended treatment. I didn't find anything regarding extended treatment. I also looked under denosumab and found some interesting studies.

There was also a general information section on clinical trials -how they are conducted etc. What was perhaps of great interest to some here, who can't do bisphophonates after forteo or others as well , is a program called Expanded Access Protocol. Apparently if you do not qualify for a trial because of age, or other conditions, you may be eligible for for use of the drug if you have a serious disease for which there is no good alternative. If you believe that is the case then you use the contact information number on the clinical trials page .

I am wondering if Taape might find some assistance with this approach either with the forteo or denosumab. Taape , let us know how this goes if you decide to pursue this.

Osteoblast,
Thank you for the information! I'm going to look this up and then write to my doctor. I'll let you know if I have any success with this.
