OK ladies had my pap three weeks ago yesterday. I have Kaiser insurance and last year was dx with HPV. I got the recording line for results and it told me to contact my provider. I called them and they left a message for the doc to call me. If the test was normal the recording would have said normal. If there is something wrong why did not the doc call me instead of having to hear it from a recording. I am having major panic right now waiting for the phone call.

I finally heard from the doctor. My pap test was normal but I still have HPV. I was told I need to stay on top of having my yearly done. She said HPV will usually go away in one to two years. The problem is that do I have to go through this anxiety for the next year and so on and so on. This is no way to live.

mskubic: Great to hear that your results came back normal. That is always a sigh of relief! :) You've come to a great board to have your questions answered, your suggestions welcomed, and your concerns validated. The ladies are great here...so come back and let us know how you are doing! :) There are many of us that are living with HPV and come here to let out our frustrations (sometimes) but mostly to get as informed as we can. Relax, HPV is something to be monitored, but also something that can be treated easily if it starts to turn into something. Just keep up on your paps! :) Take care,
