Hi ladies,
My RE wanted to start me on BCP (specifically YAZ) for this cycle to try to keep my cyst from growing any larger while waiting for surgery to remove (scheduled for June 5th). My periods are SO painful, so last Tuesday (May
1st) which was CD 26 I had a streak of mucous with blood in it when I wiped. I took this as a sign I was about to start period, so I went ahead and started BCP. Well, here it is a week later, and never had any bleeding. I have had a lot of pelvic pain (which is nothing unusual for me). Could the Yaz have just prevented me from starting my period? I took a hpt just to be sure and it was negative and I don't feel pregnant. Do you think that I should call RE's office or just relax? I have a preop appt. already schedule for May 24th.
Thanks in advance for any advice or info!!!

Hi. I don't have any experience with Yaz specifically, but I've been instructed to start the pill at the first sign of my period several times and it's never prevented the full flow from coming. Have you called your Dr? Hope everything goes well!

I haven't called yet, each day I think, well it will start today but then it doesn't. Today I woke up and realized it had been a week and no AF. So, I took another HPT tonight, still BFN. I bought two, so I will take another in AM and if still negative, I guess I will call RE office. Today is CD33 so if I by some miracle were pregnant I'm sure if would have came back positive by now. I've just never been late like this. Dang BCP giving me false hope
