I have been having digestive issues for quite some time now and have had many blood tests done to rule out all possibilites and all came back normal. I decided to eat a healthier diet with plenty of protein, veggies fruit and oatmeal and felt quite well on that except when I ate wheat or dairy I got bloated and had extreme water retention. I went throught a rough pregnancy and just haven't been right since and now I am being treated for intestinal yeast by diet meaning no sugar wheat or dairy. I am a bit frightened seeing as I was having problems before does it mean by taking them completely out of my diet that I will not be able to eat them ever again. Anyone have experience with this.!!!!?????

Not exaclty, but I too have had digestive problems...mainly gastrits that seems to constantly be getting worse and is now chronic. I was tested for gliadin antibodies...this will tell you if you have a gluten intolerance (wheat/flour/barley/oats). Mine was positive but I do not know if this had a relation to my gastritis. I have been gluten free now for 3 weeks and do not feel a difference.

You will always be able to change back to what you were eating in the past if you wish to do so. Who knows!!! Maybe you will feel so much better that you will want to stay on this diet:)

I had my G.B. out in the 70's (unnecessarily), and have had digestive issues since. Main one is gastritis, and that's been with me for many, many years, but recently has become major. Down to eating very few foods. Wheat & Dairy are two of the worst for me, and the hardest for me to have given up.

So just have had to switch to other tolerable foods. Not easy!! But having Lupus, I'm in overdrive, so overacidic always. Yours may be a temporary condition. We're all so different. Good luck with your program.
