View Full Version : Month's Worth of Problems

Good afternoon :)

I am a 19 year old university student, and about a month ago, I started noticing that the veins on the right side of my head began becoming more noticeable. I'm not sure if this is a cause of anything, yet I then noticed a pain starting around that area of my temple. About a week later, when I left university, I had gone through one very nauseating night with the sharpest head pain I have ever felt in my life, cold chills, and the likes. I woke up a little woozy the next morning. It's been three weeks, and the pain is still a dull pain in my temple, and seems to stay on the right side of my head now, yet it radiates sometimes into a constant headache, localized to the right side of my head and my left temple. I've been on sinus medication for two weeks which I just ran out of today, yet that's now gone, and my head pain persists. The pain is sometimes behind my eye it seems, sometimes in my temple, and sometimes a very painful experience in the back of my head. I sometimes get lightheaded, especially after physical activity, and lately I'm noticing weird flashes or brief, tiny black spots in my vision, and "eye floaters." For some reason, I also notice that the muscles I use to chew seem to get "tighter" when I chew something... chewy? I've never felt this before.

I've never had headache problems ever before, and this last month has been very new to me. Very short, weird feelings of nausea have also started. I'm being scheduled for a CT scan sometime soon, and I'll have results from bloodwork on May 23 yet I was just wondering... should I be feeling worried waiting until then? I've been having weird feelings of anxiety and doom over this month, which again, is something very new to me. The headache seems to be taking over my train of thought for the entire day.

Dude, I feel your pain. My situation isn't identical, but I sympathize with how it sort of takes control of your life. Nothing has seemed very normal for me for the last two weeks to be honest.

I wrote a thread here about it...

Try to stay positive and hopefully the warmer weather and the end of school will help!
