I would make a 2 oz. bottle and see how he does with it. Have another 2 oz. in the fridge as a back up, just in case he's still hungry. It's different for evey baby, so you'll just have to experiment until you get an amount that's right for him.

At one month my son was drinking 6 ounce bottles of breastmilk every 2-3 hours. He was a 10 pound premie.. not kidding there with in the first month grew out of the 3 mo stuff to pushing the 6-9 mo clothing boundaries. He is not and never was a fat baby just big.
Make up four ounce bottles. Let the child drink until it stops. The child normally will not gorge themselves at this age, but if you underfeed they will be hungry and crany all the time.
Sincerely,
MG

What are the problems with the baby? If he is not eating well, maybe he needs a little suppliment or maybe he needs to be at breast more to get more food.
Is he colicky? Is he staying there for long periods of time and just sleeping(always liked that one when they thought my nipple was a pacifier) lol.
