Hello Guys. I am tired of being sick and sick of being tired. I constantly get hit with allergies and colds, fatigue, insomnia. I have been to an internal med doc and checked any and all things. Blood pressure is a little high (130/90) and cholesterol is 275 total. I cannot and willnot get on any prescription drugs. I wish to find a good combination for these issues, mostly to boost immune system. I eat pretty healthy, walk 2 miles a day, don't smoke, however love my beer. (about 12 a week total)I've read Garden of Life products are good, probiotics, Omega oils CoQ10, garlic, mushrooms, etc. but I am on a budget( Single dad) and would really appreciate a poll of supplements/herbs, etc. that you would recommend.
Thanks to all

Good immune boosters are astragalus and echinacea -- 2 things I can't take because I have MS and in that instance it's recommended to stay away anything that revs up the already too-active immune system. That said, you need to be sure the problem IS your immune system. Just because mine is overactive doesn't mean I can't get sick! I'd also suggest you look at your environment and see if there's anything around that could be compromising your system. Mold? Any chemical toxins? You could also possibly be allergic to something... Wheat or gluten is often a big culprit on that front although there are plenty of other possibilities.

Anyway, just wanted to point out that it might not be as simple as taking supplements to boost your system. Re: cholesterol, besides looking at any contributing foods, you probably already know how important fiber is in helping to lower the number.

Good luck -- hope you feel better soon!

Herbs that kill fungus/bacteria are also good like oil of oregano or olive leaf extract. Things that can help with your cholesterol are flax oil, turmeric, garlic, fish oil, and pretty much most fungal fighting herbs and foods.
