Hi susan kay,

I haven't had that experience, but I have a very vague thought (may have been a dream) of being kicked out onetime a very long time ago, but when young, no problem or bruising.:D

Does your medication cause sleep disturbances, nightmares and restlessness?

Yes, Susan one needs adequate sleep. There are stages of sleep that repeat during the sleep time. One stage of sleep is REM and is marked by physiological changes that include respiratory, increased brain activity, muscle relaxationand dream state (nightmare).

Some medication, antidepressant, alcohol, etc. can obliterate and/or enhance neurotransmitters that relaxes muscles during REM. If muscle relaxation is blocked during REM, one can act out their dream causing restlessness, even sleep walking, and falling out of bed would not be unusual. Take care.

Depending on how bothersome your condition, it may require a medication adjustment. Falling out of bed can be serious.
