Kinda a poll i suppose.
ive heard opinions all over the board on how long off/on (high/low intensity intervals).
What do you do? Any reason for it, or is it just the way you have always done it?
Ive always done a 30sec. high intensity, 30sec low intensity intervals for 10-15min. I wouldnt say results have been spectacular, but def. better than just running for 30mins. Just the way ive always done it.
how about you?

Most often, when I do HIIT I do 3 minute sessions divided into 1 minute intervals:
1 min fast walk
1 min run
1 minute sprint
(or the equivelant if on an elip machine)
I repeat for 15 to 30 minutes.
30 seconds doesnt seem like enough time to get the heart rate where it should be for "sprints". But maybe that's just me. At the end of 1 minute going full on, my legs are burning and shaking. I used to try for 2 minutes sprinting, but I didn't put in full effort since I knew I had a longer timeframe to maintain. The walking and running portion is just enough time to recover and catch my breath.
