Which exercise can I substitute for Lat-Pull downs using free weights? I don't have any machines in my house, but I have an olympic bench (set), dumb bells, and a curling bar.

Other than that... I dunno. That's the one machine I still use regularly since I can only do 6 pullups consecutively and don't think that there are any other exercises that sucessfully reproduce that movement. In theory, you could create a small makeshift pulley system with dumbells or whatever you have handy... ------------------ Keep your body lean, your blood clean and your mind sharp. -Rollins Evl316 06-05-2003, 06:29 PM Dumbell pullover Barbell pullover A wide variety of chin-ups and pull-ups. armageddon69 06-05-2003, 09:52 PM barbell rows, if u wanted, u could try manuel resistance, too. Naxis 06-06-2003, 12:41 PM I hadn't thought of pullovers... good call. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif Another possibility is to hang resistance bands off of something (door, tree etc) and pull down. ------------------ Keep your body lean, your blood clean and your mind sharp. -Rollins |
