My gall bladder came out two weeks ago. It need to come out, it was making me incredibly sick! Apparently it was absolutley full of little stones that didn't show up on my ultrasound, but low functioning was detected with HIDA scan. Now the removal did help as I can eat now (I couldn't eat at all and was on just clear liquids for more than a week before the surgery) and I can eat anything. But I don't feel like myself. The terrible nausea I had had gone away, but the past couple days I have been midly nauseaet, esp. on a empty stomach. I also seem to have more reflex and a sore throat (I have GERD so I familiar with some of the symptoms). Plus I just have no energy. Everything I do wipes me out completely. Going to the library to study is more draining than runnning a marathon! I couldn't get out of bed for two days! Plut I still get this sore feeling where my gall bladder used to be. How long until I feel more like myself again? I know that sometimes the removal of the gall bladder can cause problems, like bile reflux and so forth. How would I know if thats what I have and thats what is to blame for my nausea, or if I just need to give it more time?
