running, and then there's running, and some more running. Also biking, stair climbing, martial arts, aerobics, rollerblading, and most anything else that gets your heart rate up and keeps it up.

Anything that makes you sweat, like the activities already mentioned. Even dancing, handball, etc.

walking is real good too, especially since its such a mild exercise its hard to convince yourself you dont have the energy for it http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

yes, walking will do you a lot more good than you might think. My ankles don't take well to running at all, so my primary cardio workout for a long time was walking and I lost quite a bit of weight between that and a decent diet. Heck, my ankles still can't take much running, so I still do a lot of walking during my running time.

I think walking is great. I have been walking for 1hr/ 4 days a week and have lost a lot already.

As time passes by, trying walking faster. It has worked wonders on me. It is just a matter of sticking to it.
