View Full Version : Surgery is over...what a relief!

Hi ladies...

Let me first thank all of you that sent prayers and good thoughts my way yesterday as I had my cold knife cone, ECC and D&C to treat AIS.

It was supposed to have been done at 1:30pm, but after many delays, I finally got into surgery around 6:30pm. I was out in just over an hour and into recovery. During recovery, I thankfully had no nausea, no dizziness and was eating crackers and drinking some Sprite before too long. I was home shortly after 10pm and starving! I had some soup and crackers and soon was fast asleep.

Last night I slept the whole night through and didn't even need to take any of the Vicodin that was prescribed for pain! Yippee! My only thing was having some pain while urinating, but have gotten some anitbiotics for that so that should clear up soon.

Now....I wait. I wait to hear about my pathology results...which is going to be the most difficult thing. Please keep sending the good thoughts and prayers my way as I continually do the same for all you going through the trials that we have been. I also send prayers of thanks for those you having great results, that you continue to have them! :)

All in all, things went surprisingly very well and I am very thankful. Thank you all for being so supportive....it is more appreciated then you will ever know.

Peace and God speed,

Tori

Hi Tori
Glad to see that things went well for you and that you are up and around.

I know the waiting is so hard on us. I will start all over again in June when i go for my first follow up pap after having my second coloposcopy. :( HPV never seems to be far from my thoughts these days.

Im getting married in Aug. so i hope i get a normal result so that i can at least enjoy the last stages of planning my wedding. Its been so hard with all of this going on.

Just know that we are all sending good thoughts and keeping you in our prayers.

Take care
~Lisa

Thanks Rebecca! I appreciate the good thoughts you are sending my way! I just caught up on your other post before I read this one...so I responded there too!

Please try to keep us updated...

God bless,

Ayres517: Thanks for your well wishes too. I do appreciate it. I am already sending good thoughts and prayers your way as you get ready for your next pap in June. What a relief it will be to get clear results so you can finish getting things ready for your big day! :) Take care!

Tori
