Hi all

As i have been left to my own devices till i see my consultant in July i am toying with the idea of going to see an osteopath to find out if he/she can help to work out why i am in so much pain.

I am cautious because my lower back hurts to be pressed on an i dont want to come out worse than when i went in.

Do i just bite the bullet and go for it as i'm left in limbo at the moment?

I just feel so helpless and what to help myself.

Best wishes

Hi Sherry,
My spine surgeon is a DO, he is the best dr. I have ever been to for anything. He treats me mind & body. I must say he tried for over 4 yrs to help me and really took it personally when my body didn't listen to him. I have been told by many dr.'s that they can't help me, he did lessen my pain tremendously from what I was before. So I would say go ahead, what have you got to loose, as long as you use common sense and are not looking for miracles.

Good Luck

God Bless

My GP is a DO. I find he spends more time with me. Asks questions about my life as well as my pain.

Hi Sherry,

My dr. is also a osteopath. He is wonderful, patient and cares. When no one else would listen to me, he did. He ordered to appropriate tests and found out what was going on.

Good luck and I hope he/she will be as good for you, as mine was for me. If you have had MRI's, X-ray, ect., take all with you to your appt. This will help him/her in your evaluation.
