Hello to all I have a ques and hope someone out there has had this experience. I have been suffering with numbness in my right foot with severe feelings of an electric shock type of pain shooting through every now and then. The shooting has now stopped and I'm wondering If it's good or bad? My foot feels like a heavy freakin weight I'm tugging along. Scarry  This has been going on since my surgery in Nov 06 L4-L5,L5-S1 and Lami. I have my 6 month check up in 2 weeks. I went to a Chiro IME and the report and prognosis was very poor according to him and that has never happened to me it's kind of throw me for a loop since I been on comp since 2001. Do you think I should share this report with my ortho doc? Any advice would be great. Sometimes I wish I never had surgery at this point.

G'day there Badback67. I know what you are talking about with the heavy foot and eletric shocks. I to this day still get the shocks which can go from place to place. My foot was a lump that use to follow me about but over time this has got better and it now only happens if I do too much throughout the day.
Any report that you get you should show your Orthapedic Doctor he will know more about what is going on than a Chiro.
Me I don't trust them and will never trust them but thats just me as I know they have helped people out there, like my own wife.
And like you to I have wished that I never went under the knife at times. But I know it was a better option that have done nothing done. At least this way you know you have covered every post that was out there. I can tell you I have had 3 back ops. And there is not a week that goes past where I wished that I was in a wheelchair with my nerves cut to my back.
You will start to have better days as the weeks pass on, but you still will have days where the pain is bad and all you can do is rest.
Now please when this happens dont be like me and think that you can cope with it. As you really can't, so go inside and rest. Watch a movie or read a book. Take your medication give it the best possible chance to beat your pain by resting. This is where I should practise what I preach even though I know it's true.
I hope I have helped a little. So all the best from the Tattman.
